We had a wonderful weekend in the sun! We went to Pike Place on Saturday afternoon and walked around for a few hours. It was nice to get out in the warm sunny weather. Luca enjoyed himself, although he is not a big fan of the umbrella stroller. He prefers the bigger one where he sits up high and has a cross bar to hang on to (or to steer with in his mind). He is started to show an interest in crawling which is a good thing. We were beginning to wonder if he'd ever have the desire. We realized we had the wrong motivation. He could care less about the toys... he wants the remote control!
He is still eating a ton. This morning he went to Children's for another ultra sound. We'll get hte results sometime next week. We also have a checkup next week so we'll get to see how much he's grown in 3 months!
We had a great mom's day... Luca got me a trip to Rome! We are going to Barcelona this summer to see his vo and biza and b/c he loves me so much he decided his papai and I should have 3 days in Rome! Now I have the big decision of whether or not to bring him. I'd like to say we'll leave him but it's tough to think about 3 nights without my little piggy!

Updates
Since the last time I blogged so much has gone on! Luca is in swim classes twice a week. He loves the water but it's tough b/c the class is at 6:30 and if he doesn't take a good afternoon class he is tired and just clings to me during the class.
He is still eating a ton of food, and has recently added carrots to his list of foods he loves (really he loves anything we give him). He is also eating the little puff things that all babies like. It's funny to watch him eat them. He picks them up pretty well, puts them in his mouth, but then fogets to take his fingers out. So he gums both the food and fingers until the food is disolved, then he takes his fingers out to grab another one.
Still no teeth yet, but has gotten quite a bit crankier lately so perhaps they're finally coming in. He is now getting up on all fours, but doesn't keep his head up for too long. I don't blame him, his is extra heavy! Enjoy the pics, we'll post a video soon.

Luca's outing
This last weekend was so beautiful that we had to mow the lawn, clean the grill and bbq outdoors! We had our friends Luna, Sergio and their baby Clara over and had a great time playing in the yard. Luca loves being outdoors and on the grass! On Saturday, Luca went in a swing for the first time and loved it... unfortunately we didn't get any pictures of that.
Luca is rolling over both ways now, but no crawling yet, and he still doesn't have any teeth! But he is eating like it's his job... taking it very seriously! He sleeps through the night wonderfully now so we are feeling better and more rested. We went to visit our friends this weekend with their new baby Campbell. She is adorable and Luca was very interested in her.

6 month photos
Grandma and I got photos taken of Luca at 6 months on Saturday. Of course we ordered a million of them because they all came out so cute! There was a little 12 month old girl there flirting with Luca, but I reminded him that he has a girlfriend and is a one-woman man, so he didn't pay the other girl any attention. :) He loves eating and hasn't found a mashed food he doesn't enjoy yet.

6 months
Luca had his 6 month bday last week! He is growing so much it's almost unbelievable how big he is. He now weighs a whopping 20 pounds! He rolls from belly to back but hasn't figured out back to belly yet. He tries occasionally but he hates being on his belly so there's not much motivation.
Last night we put his high chair together and he ate in it. Not sure he likes being so restrained but hopefully it will grow on him. He was sleeping wonderfully but since we started him on food a week or two ago he has been up a lot at night. Hopefully this will be a short phase. Other than the sleeping he is in such a wonderful state right now. He is so much fun to be around and he loves snuggling! We fight over who gets to snuggle with him on the weekend mornings so he can nap on our chest. It's hard to imagine him growing out of the snuggle stage so we're trying to take advantage of it.
We are getting together on Sundays with our friends Luna and Sergio who have a baby girl. She has quickly become Luca's girlfriend... he is so interested in her! We are also anxiously awaiting the birth of our other friend's child which should be any week now. Enjoy the photos.

Oatmeal Cereal
Luca finally got to eat real food... oatmeal cereal. And he hates it! We first gave it to him on Saturday and he didn't know what to think. Grandma got to be there for it and he sat on her lap. Since then, he just spits it out. Last night we mixed it with banana and he ate it, so that's what we'll do for the next few days. Although I will cut back the amount of banana I mix in. Here are some recent photos.
Also, he finally rolled over on his own! He went from belly to back, after many tries. We are so proud of him :)
